The Ugly Sweater Party is one of the season’s trendiest gatherings you may attend. This themed gathering has gained in popularity over the last year and has even inspired clothing designers to create “ugly sweaters” for purchase during the holiday season.

In fact, the phrase “ugly sweater “ has been trademarked multiple times over the past few years for a variety of uses including clothing, wine, cookie merchandise and even an organized race. Apparently the old ugly sweater has expanded its scope from parties into organized races throughout the country.
